Alastair DonaldLast month Alastair Donald our very own Managing Director was appointed as Chairman of Forfar Athletic Football Club taking over from former chairman Neill Wilson who resigned after 16 years as a director of the club and five years as chairman - the post he took up in May 2007.

Although Neill will no longer be chairman of the club, he will still be involved in bringing the artificial pitch at Station Park to completion a project Alastair has campaigned relentlessly for during his past 2 years as a director of the club.

Alastair was also one of the directors responsible for the implementation of the youth team which has been a fantastic success with the Duncan Reid being signed to the first team at the end of last season making it a worthwhile reward.

Alastair will embrace this role as he does every other project he gets involved in, although I can promise this will not be to the detriment of the company, Alastair will still play a full and active role in the company as Managing Director as he always has and I am sure you will all join the staff in wishing him well.

What an exciting year this has been.

Since moving into our new purpose built premises at the end of last year, we seem to have bucked the trend, despite the economic doom and gloom which has effected many businesses recently.

We are now approaching our first anniversary on 1st December in Caxton House and already seem to be outgrowing our new space. This is all thanks to our dynamic young team who work hard together to exceed our customers expectations.

Happy Anniversary Caxton House.
